At present, my country's PET film packaging industry is mainly developing in the following directions:

1. The technical level of high-barrier and multi-functional PET film is continuously improved. Film packaging and printing materials have become a hot spot in domestic development in recent years, among which high permeability, multi-functional printing packaging films, and aseptic packaging films have developed rapidly. As the bag making and printing technology has reached a new level, it has entered the era of color revolution, which has promoted the development of flexible plastic packaging products to a deeper and higher level.

2. The market prospect of fresh-keeping packaging film for fruits and vegetables is broad. my country is a big country in the production and sales of fruits and vegetables in the world. However, about 30% of the water is lost in the process of storage, transportation and sales. Improper packaging is one of the reasons for the loss of fruit rot. Although the physiological properties of different fruits are different, water loss, discoloration, staleness and rot are common problems. Therefore, in-depth research on inhibiting the metabolic process, reducing the consumption of nutrients, and maintaining the flavor and quality of the fruit is an important topic for fresh-keeping packaging. At present, polyethylene film and polypropylene film are the most widely used packaging materials for fresh fruits and vegetables.

3. The development of multi-layer co-extrusion technology has changed the product structure of functional films and containers. With the increasing voice of environmental protection, under the premise of satisfying the packaging function, it is necessary to minimize the amount of garbage generated. Co-extruded transparent PET film has the advantages of low investment in process equipment, low production cost, strong adaptability, convenient operation, and no environmental pollution problem. Therefore, co-extrusion technology has developed rapidly in the world. Data show that co-extrusion packaging films in developed countries account for about 40% of all flexible plastic packaging films, while my country is only about 6%. Obviously, the ratio of the two is very unreasonable. The development of co-extruded packaging films will also change the product structure of multifunctional films, which are suitable for food packaging such as beverages, milk, and fresh meat.

  No matter what kind of plastic packaging is used, it must meet the requirements of green packaging: reduce waste pollution; solve environmental protection problems of solvents; recycling and reuse problems. Green packaging that meets environmental protection requirements and is non-polluting will receive more and more attention from the society.
